Tips and Tricks: Turn off Profile View Tracker

Sometimes you want to send a message and sometimes, you’re just looking. We hear you. Don’t want to appear on someone’s Who’s Viewed Me List?  You can view all the profiles you want without anyone knowing about it by turning off your View Tracker setting.

One Go to your “My Account” page from the link in My Stuff.

Two Click on the "edit" link for your Privacy settings.

Three   Uncheck the “Let others see when I’ve viewed their profile” box under the View Tracker section and click "Submit".

Ta da - no more appearing on other people’s Who’s Viewed Me List.

This setting is not retroactive. If you have appeared on another member’s Who’s Viewed Me List in the past, you will not be automatically removed. You will fall off the member’s list after you are no longer one of the 50 most recent members to view his profile.

And if you do decide later that you wouldn’t mind if some people knew you were checking them out, you can always turn View Tracker back on whenever you want.
